Dump Truck Safety: Operating And Spotting For A Truck

While using a dump truck can make many projects easier, it can also make them more dangerous if the driver and/or spotter aren’t familiar with dump truck safety practices, such as those presented in this course. Emphasizing the many things dump truck drivers and spotters can do to protect themselves, their coworkers, and their equipment, this course spotlights each of the steps workers must take to help prevent injuries and accidents. Upon learning how to prepare themselves, the jobsite, and their dump truck before operating it, workers then learn how to safely drive the dump truck, critical shut down procedures, and how to be a spotter while a dump truck is moving. Use this course to ensure all workers involved with dump truck operations know how to drive a dump truck, maintain a safe work environment while operating one, and how to spot for one.
